This artwork accompanies a folk story (Two Bright Young Sisters) within a collection of hare tales (Maidens of the Moon, Bob Price) to be published by the Golden Hare Press.
The tale comes from East Anglia and involves some terrible retribution for the menfolk in the womens' lives! In some folk traditions women have been able to transform themselves into hares and vice versa. Men it appears are far less adaptable.
