| Dave (BA Honors, Fine Art,1st Class) was inspired by Darwin and
Lyme Regis fossils, by five years at University College for the Creative Arts
(where he learnt welding, amongst other things!) and courses on Professional
Presentation and Communications Skills and Training. Other inspiration came from Duxford and from the Natural History Museum. |
Most of the work he showed us was produced using Photoshop to
process photographs of real or image-processed backgrounds and of models made
of paper, modelling clay and sometimes metal. After a couple of lovely slide-shows with a tongue-in-cheek "Attenborough" commentary he introduced the highlight, www.thenaturalhistoryproject.org.uk a work of art that is an entirely pseudo project museum. Wonderful. You must visit both that and his personal site, www.davidrichards.org.uk. |
