Red Barn painting days
ANNALISA BRETT, Red Barn Hill. Wellingtonia Avenue. Crowthorne. Berkshire
Next date, Saturday 15 May 2010

Annalisa has once again kindly offered her home as a venue for outdoor painting by the FCSA and to provide coffee and/or tea for those who attend. For what to expect, see below.

Red Barn is located along a bridle track from Wellingtonia Avenue approx. 1/2 mile from the roundabout to Sandhurst and Wokingham. It is opposite "Cheviot" along the bridle track and is signed Barn End. On making your way from the roundabout up Wellingtonia Ave. the bridleway is on the left just before a red letterbox.

So bring your own materials (any media). We look forward to seeing you there. Remember, you probably need to work with a different palette of colours in the Autumn than you would earlier in the year.

For more information, contact Sue Thompson or Brian Richardson, 6 Spring Woods, Sandhurst, GU47 8PX, Tel: 01344 773603
or email him
We've had two more enjoyable days in 2009, 25 April and 19 September 2009
Notes on the 2008 Red Barn painting days - Saturday 26 April and 14 June
From Brian Richardson (re 26 April 2008)

Wendy Outram, John LeGrice, Tom Moss and I from FCSA and Maureen(?) Fry, a member of Crowthorne and Sandhurst Art Society, went to Annalisa's on 26th April, despite the short notice.

We had a lovely day's painting. Her garden is beautiful and she is very hospitable, serving coffee/tea and cakes for elevenses and providing wine for us to have with our packed lunches which she supplemented with a pizza. I foolishly forgot to take a hat so got thoroughly scorched by the hot sun but was quite pleased with the painting I did of her well-house which I subsequently turned into a "Thank you" card (via the computer) to send to her.

More of you should come to the next painting day, on 14 June. I'm sure you would enjoy it.
Notes on an earlier Red Barn painting day - Saturday 11 June 2005
Red Barn 2002 refreshments (b) Sally Daffern (who is keen to have it recognised that she was only there for a couple of hours and so didn't finish her painting) and Michael Whitely have sent me photos to give an impression of a "Red Barn" day.
