| John did two acrylic gouache paintings: one using it
thick and the other in a watecolour style. For the first he troweled on the sky
and reflections background and then painted in the distant hills and
trees. Then the nearer dark features were introduced, trees brushed in and detail (slopes, rocks, reflections etc.) added. Note how rough vegetation was overpainted to give an earthy path which, in turn, grew greenery. |
